Mesa Community College-MCC in Mesa, Arizona and the Center for Service-Learning partnered with Healthy Outcomes through Prevention and Education, a 2010 National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.
MCC students created Project H.O.P.E for a campus-wide crusade to educate others against unplanned pregnancy. I led the Project H.O.P.E committee organizing service projects throughout 2010. Hundreds of students were connected through their Service-Learning projects while I prepared and presented educational and motivational workshops on Project H.O.P.E. We presented at several colleges, high schools and the Arizona Summit on Volunteerism and Service-Learning impacting thousands of students and others in the community.
